Shuffleboard Table Quality

You can find cheap shuffleboard tables anywhere.  However, you don't want to purchase another shuffleboard table in a couple years because it breaks or warps.  Your new shuffleboard table should be a quality piece of furniture to show off to friends.  In real estate, it's location, location, location.  When buying a shuffleboard table, it's quality, quality, quality. 

The wood in these tables is air dried for six months, then get kiln dried for over 30 days to slowly and evenly reduce the moisture content.  This makes the hard rock maple playfield last for years.  Climate adjusters come standard with every large shuffleboard table to keep the wood solid for all the seasons. 

Shuffleboard Table Size

The standard size home shuffleboard table is 9, 12 or 14 feet.  Sports bars have tables 16-20 feet in length.  The key to picking out the size is to make sure you've added 2-3 feet for playing space to each end of the table.  This ensures the shuffleboard player will have enough room to make the perfect slide across the table.  It's recommended to measure before deciding on the size of your new shuffleboard table.

  • Weights (also called pucks).  Slide weight with a 2" diameter down the table to score.  Eight weights (four red, four blue) are included with each table purchased at Gold Star Games.
  • Speed Wax.  Saw dust, sand or tiny silicon beads create a fast ball-bearing surface for your weights to slide along.  Wax is included with any shuffleboard table purchase.
  • Cleaner Polish.  Liquid cleaner to rub across the playfield for speed and shine.  Included with any shuffleboard table purchase.
  • Scoring Unit - Electronic scoring unit can be added to make scoring a breeze.
  • Shuffleboard Table Cover - Kids, pets, parties or any reason that you need to protect your table, the covers are fitted to your shuffleboard table.
